Myth: If you are unhappy with your hearing aids, there’s nothing you can do.

Fact: There are many different actions you can take to get the most out of your hearing aids, depending on the issues you are facing.

Ever since we started our hearing clinic, many visitors came in and asked us about new hearing aids. When asked about their current hearing aids, they all said that their hearing aids are in the drawer because they are unhappy with their hearing aids. When we asked them take the hearing aids out of their drawers and bring them in, we notice that some of those hearing aids are premium grade that costed them thousands of dollars. We managed to adjust and repair some of the hearing aids, and now they work much better.

As a hearing aid user, you need to know that hearing aids are not “buy-and-bye” medical product. Your audiologist needs to work with you along the whole journey.

If you are a new hearing-aids user, your biggest surprise would be realising how noisy the world is and it can be a little overwhelming. At Ivory Hearing, we make sure your hearing aids are adjusted correctly and gradually, in order to re-training your brain to interpret, prioritise and filter the sounds again.
