The International Day of Friendship is a day to promote dialogue, acceptance and understanding between people. Friendship is one of the strongest bonds in our life. When we ask those with hearing loss what do they want to hear most, most of the answers revolve around reconnecting to their family and their friends.
Not understanding what your friends are talking about is a terrible feeling. It makes one feel embarrassed, lonely, guilty, anxious, upset and angry. If you are experiencing this due to hearing loss, we are all ears to help you hear your best again and re-engage in your conversations.
If you suspect one of your friends is suffering from hearing loss (see signs of hearing loss), encourage him/her to see an audiologist like us. You can even be supportive and accompany him/her to attend the appointment too.
